Body Fat Percentage

What is Body Fat Percentage and how does it affect us? The more fat we carry around the more health risks we continue to be prone to. Women need more body fat than men for the essential reason of being able to carry children. There are healthy and acceptable body fat percentages for both men and women; according to the American Dietetic Association 15 to 18% for men, and 20 to 25% for women. However healthy athletes may have as low as 5% for men and 10% in women.
